Looking to spoil yourself in Paris? Embrace a bit of the bourgeois lifestyle. If the answer is oui, then look no further.
At the start of this year, I met up with some international friends and we headed to Paris. These types of trips are always chaotic in the best way. I love that as a group, we have been able to maintain long-distance friendships. We meet up when and where we can, and it makes it all the more special.

For this blog, I thought I would share some bougie things to do in Paris for a trip designed to make heads turn. I will preface this by saying I feel so lucky to get to enjoy and experience these things and never take it for granted.
So without further ado, here are some recommendations that are oh so chic.
Dinner in bed at Derrière

My friend Taylor found this super quirky and fun restaurant for us to have dinner at one night. It was called Derrière and she specifically requested that we could sit at a table which is set up around a bed. It was of course an iconic photo spot and we took full advantage!
A private tour of Paris by night

After dining at Derrière we had a private tour of Paris by a local, stopping at spots including the Louvre and Eiffel Tower. All whilst drinking champagne and blaring French classics. We had an incredible time! You can find lots of private tours available on GetYourGuide.
Brunch at Ladurée Bois de Vincennes

This is such a beautiful spot if you are looking to visit one of Ladurée’s many locations in Paris. It is just outside the centre of Paris but worth the journey as it is very unique. The food was amazing. We visited in winter, but I can imagine it is stunning in the spring and summer.
Drinks at Grouvie
For a cute cocktail bar with a very Instagramable design, head to Grouvie. The staff were so attentive and chatted away to us. The drinks are inspired by the cuisine and patisserie of La Nouvell Garde’s brasseries. They are fun and flirty.

Dine at Lapérouse
Tucked away in an unassuming Parisian building, this restaurant is known as the ‘House of Pleasures’ and first opened in 1766. Its interior is elegant and intimate. For the romantics who want to enjoy a candlelit dinner, it is parfait.
That is it from me for this one. Merci for being here and if you would like any more recommendations for Paris please reach out! It is a city that holds a little piece of my heart since spending a semester studying there. I do hope that I will have the chance to call it home again one day.
Lots of love,
Laura-Jane (bisous bisous)
