Martin Luther King Day was here and the January blues had set in, so what better time to visit the Indiana State Museum. I am extremely interested in learning more about places and the end to my time here in Indiana is fast approaching so I am eager to spend more time in Indianapolis and elsewhere in my ‘home state’.

The Indiana State Museum is located within White River State Park and was free to the public on the day we visited – 21st of January, MLK Day – so busier than usual. It is a great place for all ages and has a movie theatre to screen a selection of films. The museum offers everything from the glaciers of Indiana to its racing history. It gave me a full perspective of the history of the state and the areas it has been influential in.

My favourite part of the museum was the swinging pendulum because I believed it was beautiful and very calming to watch. Especially from the top of the staircase looking down.

The day at the museum was perfectly ended with dinner at Bru Burger, where I enjoyed an amazing burger with my host family. Indiana has much more to offer me and I still have a lot on my list of things to visit. Here’s hoping the next stop will be the art museum.
Lots of love,
